Competitor report
By default, the report includes only keywords for the domain or URL (for a URL report) or keywords similar to the target keyword (for a keyword report). The competitor list is always available, even without purchasing competitor keywords.
You can purchase competitor keywords either when buying the report or at any time afterwards.
How to generate a competitor report
When purchasing a report
- Enter your website's URL in the input field and generate the report (you can also generate a competitor report right away).
- To include competitor keywords in the report during purchase, tick Add competitor keywords.
- Competitor research level
- It's a percentage of keyword overlap between websites. The higher the matching level, the more closely the competitor’s keywords align with the keywords of the URL the report is based on. If two websites have a high keyword overlap, they are considered direct competitors.
In a purchased report
- Select the report from your list of reports.
- Go to Competitor research (for a URL report) or Leader research (for a keyword report).
- Choose the competitor matching level and click Expand, then click Create report in the pop‑up window.
Which websites are included in "Leader research" in keyword reports?
Leader research includes websites that appear most frequently in the niche. Frequency is determined based on the overlap of domains within the topic (Similar keywords) and top‑ranking sites. To identify market leaders, our database must contain a large number of similar high‑volume keywords. If there aren’t enough such keywords, the report may not display any leaders.
Which Intersection level should I choose?
The choice depends on your goals and budget, as each level increases the report cost. We recommend reviewing the competitor list after purchasing the report and selecting a level based on your competitors and the number of their keywords. Often, level 2 or 3 already reveals many competitors with large keyword sets. Once you've analyzed these competitors, you can later purchase a higher matching level for deeper insights.
I’m interested in a specific competitor’s keywords. How can I ensure it appears in the report?
- Select a higher Intersection level to display more competitors and locate the one you're interested in.
- Click on the competitor’s keywords count to the right of their name.
- Click Create report.
This way, you'll generate a report with the matching level needed to retrieve keywords from your target competitor. Hover over to see which matching level is required to access the competitor's keywords.
